Our Guest Speaker will be Brigadier General Monie R. Ulis, the deputy Adjutant General of Texas – Army. He will present an update of the on-going missions of the Texas National Guard. Additionally, we will highlight the Texas Military Department Family Support Group and provide our annual contribution to support military families during the Holiday Season.

The Texas Capital Area Chapter conducted its General Membership Meeting at Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas. This meeting also included a special ceremony to celebrate the US Army's 249th Birthday with the Texas Army National Guard.

Chapter president, COL (R) Garry D. Patterson and his wife, Sharon, attended the AUSA Land Forces Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium & Exposition at the Sheraton Waikiki, Honolulu, HI hotel. COL (R) Patterson was honored as a guest of AUSA as a result of the Texas Capital Area Chapter awarded "Best Chapter" for 2023.
