Our chapter conducted a General Membership Meeting and Award Ceremony on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. The LTG McLain Medal was presented to MG (Ret) Patrick M. Hamilton, former commanding general of the 36th Infantry Division by BG (Ret) Jack Haley from AUSA National Headquarters and MG (Ret) Robert Halverson.
Our chapter president also recognized civic leaders from Round Rock, TX who came in support of MG Hamilton.

Our chapter conducted a General Membership Meeting and National Guard 387th Birthday Celebration on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
The guest speaker was BG Tanya R. Trout, Director of the Joint Staff of the Texas Military Department. BG Trout gave an excellent presentation on the history of the National Guard and current programs and missions ongoing for the Texas Army National Guard.

Our chapter conducted a General Membership Meeting in the auditorium at the Headquarters Building of the Texas National Guard on Camp Mabry, Austin, TX.
During this meeting, COL (Ret) Garry Patterson and MG (Ret) Gregg Potter presented a ceremonial check for $2,500.00 to the Texas Military Department (TMD) Family Support Group in the form of $100.00 gift cards to be shared with enlisted soldier's families in need during the holiday season.

COL (R) Christopher Hossfeld was the guest speaker at a Veterans Day Ceremony in Manor on 11 November 2023. Attending from the Texas Capital Area Chapter was Anthony Dennis, one of the chapter's Community Partners.

Immediate Past Chapter President MG (Ret) Bob Halverson attended the Military Appreciation Weekend and Football Game at Colorado State University on 11 November 2023. He represented AUSA and our Texas Capital Area Chapter in support of the Senior ROTC program at Colorado State University vs San Diego State University football game.

The Texas Capital Area Chapter held a chapter general membership meeting on 1 November 2023 at the Camp Mabry Military Museum in Austin, Texas.
This event was honored to have as our speaker, Ali Craig, Executive Director of the non-profit veteran support organization, Victor + Valor. This organization is located in Austin and focuses on helping soldiers both active, veterans, retired military and their immediate families create profitable brands and businesses at no cost.
