AUSA – Texas Capital Area Chapter is open to all Army ranks and all components -- including Active, National Guard, Army Reserve -- Government civilians, retirees, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, concerned citizens and family members. Indeed AUSA welcomes anyone who subscribes to the philosophy of a strong national defense with special concern for the Army. Community businesses and defense industry companies are also welcome to join AUSA.

COL (R) Garry D Patterson, Chapter President AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter represented our Chapter at the retirement ceremony of MG Tracy Norris, Adjutant General of Texas.
The event was well attended with more than 340 guests.
COL (R) Garry D Patterson, Chapter President AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter, presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr. John Bohne, Catering Director for Pok-e-Jo's Smokehouse in Round Rock, Texas. Pok-e-Jo's has provided excellent catering services to our chapter for several major social events including BBQ dinners in support of the Army Futures Command.
Mr. David Berlad represented the chapter at the III Armored Corps People First Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 13 May 2022 at Fort Hood.
U.K. Major General Michael Keating, III Armored Corps deputy commanding general – support was the keynote speaker and spoke about the value and support this new center will bring to the soldiers of Fort Hood. It is their way of showing that soldiers come first. The center is a “leadership laboratory to reinforce elements of a healthy organizational culture".
Texas Capital Area Chapter of AUSA co-sponsored the Texas National Guard Best Warrior Competition in Bastrop, TX and a luncheon at the Southside BBQ for the soldiers/airmen.
The Texas Capital Area Chapter held a General Membership Meeting at Camp Mabry at 1200 hrs on 4 May 2022.
COL (Ret) Garry D. Patterson, Chapter President called the meeting to order. The Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Bylaws Committee Report/Vote were conducted, followed by the guest speakers' remarks.
