This year the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) sponsored the Department of the Army Civilian of the Year Award. The Awards Dinner was held August 17th at the Jackson Center. We would like to thank each Command for their support and for helping make this event special for this year’s recipients. We would also like to thank our Presenting Sponsor, Tyonek, and Gold Sponsors Yulista, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, CTG, BlueHalo, and The Defense Acquisition University South Region.
The Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the United States Army along with local community partners and members wish we could be together in person this
March to hold the Global Force Symposium and Rocket City BASH as we have for so many years in the past. However, due to pandemic restrictions, it is best to meet
virtually! The theme of this year’s Global Force NEXT is Protecting Tomorrow through Persistent Modernization. The Redstone community is no stranger to this concept.
EACH YEAR, THE ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY WILL AWARD MORE THAN $325,000 THROUGH 44 NATIONAL LEVEL SCHOLARSHIPS. In 2021, the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of AUSA will offer a new scholarship within the chapter footprint. We are delighted to join forces with the HUNTSVILLE ASSOCIATION of Small Businesses in Advanced technology (HASBAT) to broaden their existing scholarship program for college students. The Redstone-Huntsville chapter of AUSA’s scholarship will be awarded to a deserving high school student as they enter college with a focus on STEM.
Executive Vice President of the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the United States Army and Business Development Manager for All In Solutions, LLC, along with Chapter Chaplain James Henderson and Vietnam Veteran, presented 5 iPads with stands today to the Tut Fann State Veterans Home. These will be used with the residents to communicate with their families during COVID -19. The staff also plan to continue using them for their families that live outside of the Huntsville area after the pandemic restrictions have been lifted.
