The Texas Capital Area Chapter held a General Membership Meeting at Camp Mabry at 1200 hrs on 4 May 2022.

COL (Ret) Garry D. Patterson, Chapter President called the meeting to order. The Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Bylaws Committee Report/Vote were conducted, followed by the guest speakers' remarks.

Our Guest speaker was MAJ (P) Jason R. Zuniga Chief Operations Officer, AFC Software Factory. After his remarks, COL (R) Patterson presented MAJ Zuniga with a certificate of appreciation. Closing Comments and the Benediction concluded the meeting.

Bio of MAJ (P) Jason R. Zuniga, COO, AFC Software Factory

Jason is a Major in the United States Army serving as the Chief Operations Officer of the Army’s first Soldier-led Software Factory in Austin, Texas. He is a recognized leader serving with distinction as an aviation officer on the front lines of Iraq and as part of the first rotational forces to Korea. Jason most recently stood up the Army’s first venture capital (VC) Training with Industry (TWI) 
fellowship at Founders Fund in San Francisco. He also served at the Pentagon as a senior program analyst and instructor for the “How the Army Runs” course. 

Jason’s academic record includes receiving his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy and MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked with several start-up companies and served as a non-profit board fellow. 

Jason resides in Austin with his wife and son where they enjoy outdoor activities and volunteer
service opportunities in support of Veterans.
