The Texas Capital Area Chapter conducted a general membership meeting at Camp Mabry with members of the Texas Army National Guard. This meeting was well attended with more than 200 attending. 

Our general meeting was held in conjunction with the celebration of the 248th US Army Birthday. Guest speaker was MG Ronald "Win" Burkett, the Commanding General of the 36th Infantry Division, TXARNG. 

We conducted a cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the USA Army's 248th Birthday. This was the best attended general meeting this year with more than 200 attending of which more than 175 were current soldiers from the Texas Army National Guard. We also recognized our new community partners. 

Our chapter conducted a major membership and retention event. We had a membership table manned by chapter leadership to assist in promoting membership opportunities to the soldiers. We had requests to sign up about two dozen new individual members for our chapter. Great Day to be a soldier!!
