The Texas Capital Area Chapter held a chapter general membership meeting on 1 November 2023 at the Camp Mabry Military Museum in Austin, Texas. 

This event was honored to have as our speaker, Ali Craig, Executive Director of the non-profit veteran support organization, Victor + Valor. This organization is located in Austin and focuses on helping soldiers both active, veterans, retired military and their immediate families create profitable brands and businesses at no cost. 

Ms. Craig provided a presentation outlining the training and support opportunities provided by her non-profit organization. Her comments were well received by our members in attendance. 

During the meeting our Chapter President, COL (R) Garry Patterson, provided an update on the AUSA Annual Conference and the successes of our chapter. We were awarded again this year the Best Chapter Award. Garry also introduced the new AUSA logo to our chapter and presented the AUSA video as an introduction. All in attendance were excited about the new AUSA logo. 
Discussions regarding membership and a membership table was provided to our guests. Ms. Craig was presented with a chapter coin and a special Texas Capital Area Chapter AUSA logo engraved Yeti tumbler. 

After the chapter meeting we conducted a discussion of our plans to provide speakers and presentations at local Veterans Day Ceremonies in Manor and Georgetown, TX.
