On June 20, the AUSA Redstone-Huntsville chapter held its annual leadership luncheon to celebrate the addition of six new board members, honor those stepping down from the board and celebrate the chapter’s success. The chapter now has 32,772 total members, a major milestone. This ranks our chapter in first place in our region based on membership.

Once again the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) will host the Department of the Army Civilian of the Year Award. The Awards Dinner will be held August the 23rd at the Jackson Center.

Each year, the Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the United States Army releases a chapter coin to commemorate the year. In years past, the chapter coins have celebrated the anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, chapter accolades, and other major milestones.
We've partnered with with HASBAT - Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology to award $5,000 in scholarships to high school juniors and seniors and college freshmen students in North Alabama. Applications are NOW OPEN!

Happy 2022 to our Redstone-Huntsville Chapter Members, Community Partners, National Partners and Team Redstone followers! I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday season. We hosted a very well attended holiday gathering at the Von Braun Center in December where we recognized the category winners from the 2021 Veterans Day Parade. There was also a toast to those lost and the survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It has been 80 years since that infamous day in our nation’s history.
AUSA's Redstone Huntsville Chapter would like to thank all of our corporate and community partners.
This past year has been challenging for our chapter and other organizations as we navigate through the COVID-19 obstacles and roadblocks placed along our path. However, we have come up with new and creative ways to meet our chapter’s goals and mission as a result. We have continued to support the caregivers and veterans at Tut Fann Veterans Home with pizza dinners and enhancing their technology and family communication needs with new iPads. We have also started a new high school student transitioning to college scholarship program.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, wounded warriors, local veterans and first responders took to Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama for the annual USA Patriots Amputee Softball Game, hosted by the Association of the United States Army Young Professionals.
The USA Patriots, a team of former service members who lost limbs, beat the BeArded WARRIORS, a team of Huntsville veterans, first responders and law enforcement, 17-3 before a patriotic crowd of more than 1,700.
More than 60 cadets from local high school JROTC detachments supported the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Game on September 11, 2021 at the Trash Panda Stadium. Color guards from Bob Jones and Decatur High Schools supported the First Responder Color Guard while the cadets from James Clemens, Lee/New Century, Sparkman, Bob Jones, Buckhorn, and Huntsville High Schools held the large 40’ U.S. Flag in the outfield during the playing of the National Anthem. This was the first time where a large number of cadets from local JROTC detachments supported the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Game.
