The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command hosted the Army Profession Junior Leader Forum at Fort Sill, Okla., Nov. 17.The forum is part of TRADOC's Unified Quest program, and during the four-day event, junior leaders (enlisted, officers, noncommissioned officers and warrant officers) from across the Army discussed Army Profession findings and will provide recommendations to the Army leadership.The forum serves to continue the Center for the Army Profession and Ethic, or CAPE, study of Army Profession Strengthening Initiatives.These proposed initiatives were identified in the Army Profession campaign throughout the past year through surveys, forums, conferences, social media and focus groups.At the conference, junior leaders presented their recommendations to senior Army leaders.Army junior leaders not able to attend were invited to join the discussion Defense Connect Online site by logging in with their Common Access Card.All ranks were welcomed to listen to the discussion, but the Army leadership was especially anxious to hear from the junior leaders – sergeants and staff sergeants; warrant officers 1 and 2; and lieutenants and captains.This Defense Connect Online site provided participants the ability to ask questions of senior Army leaders and the junior leaders who have participated in the all-week forum at Fort Sill.CAPE was established by the Army chief of staff in 2008 to reinforce the Army profession and its ethic.For more information on the Army Profession Campaign, go to https://www.us.army.mil/suite/page/456795.Unified Quest is the Army chief of staff's future study program and the Army's "Think Tank."Through a series of seminars, symposia and war games, Unified Quest examines issues critical to current and future force development.It is the Army's primary mechanism for exploring solutions to enduring challenges for the future force.Unified Quest is now focusing on preparing the Army for current operations while transitioning to a force prepared for the national security challenges of 2020 and beyond.
