Our Chapter President, COL (Ret) Garry Patterson and his wife, Sharon Patterson attended the Army Futures Command Holiday Reception at Camp Mabry Military Museum in Austin, Texas on 14 December 2023. Also representing our chapter was MG (Ret) & Mrs. Robert L. Halverson, immediate past chapter president of AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter. 

GEN. James E. Rainey, Commanding General, Army Futures Command, was the host for AFC's Annual Outreach Holiday Reception, bringing together AFC's Industry Partners, Association of US Army leadership from the Texas Capital Area Chapter and Central Texas Chapter, members of academia, venture capitalists, as well State and City leadership. 

Our chapter president, Garry Patterson was able to share quality time with the distinguished leaders from Army Futures Command, The University of the Texas, Texas A&M University, numerous industry leaders from the Austin area, and elected officials from both State and Federal level. Senior military leaders from both Army Futures Command and the Texas National Guard were also present at this reception. The Hendrickson High School band from Pflugerville, TX provided a musical concert during the reception. It was an excellent opportunity to celebrate the holidays.
