The Texas Capital Area Chapter sponsored a BBQ luncheon in support of Army Futures Command/Army Application Laboratory (AAL) during their VERTEX Conference conducted at the Capital Factory in downtown Austin, TX on 13 December 2023. 

The topic for the conference was "Future Armored Formations". The conference was attended by defense industry representatives from across the country. It was the pleasure of our chapter to sponsor a Texas BBQ lunch for the guest to AFC and our community. Our chapter president, COL (Ret) Garry D. Patterson, welcomed the group to Austin and shared information on AUSA and our objectives to Inform, Education, and Communicate with the public and support the US Army. Additionally, COL Patterson provided information about membership in AUSA. He highlighted opportunities for both individual and community partner membership. COL Patterson met with several new start-up companies in the Austin area to discuss community partner membership and networking events planned by our chapter. 

Everyone enjoyed the awesome BBQ meal and had a most successful conference
