On 1 April 2023, our chapter president, COL (Ret) Garry D. Patterson, attended the Texas Army National Guard, Officer Candidate School Class #66 graduation ceremony at the Texas State Capitol Building. The guest speaker was MG Ronald "Win" Burkett, CG 36th Infantry Division, TXARNG. COL (Ret) Patterson presented a special gift and certificate to the Distinguished Honor Graduate, 2LT Brandon Thompson. Our chapter presented a engraved pocketknife to 2LT Thompson. We also provided him a bag with AUSA swag. This was an excellent ceremony and well 
attended by family and friends.
