The 36th Infantry Division conducted its change of command ceremony on the parade field at Camp Mabry at 1:00pm on 30 October 2021.  There were numerous dignitaries present at the ceremony.
Governor Greg Abbott, MG Tracy Norris, The Adjutant General of Texas, MG Patrick Hamilton, Outgoing Commanding General, 36th Infantry Division, MG Charles Aris, Incoming Commanding General, 36th Infantry Division.  There were also numerous former senior leaders, commanders, and 
command sergeants majors of the Texas Army National Guard present for the ceremony. Charles "Chuck" Aris, called the division the best in the country and praised the Texas National Guard.
