Maj. Joe Flynn, USA Ret., served as an aviation and military intelligence officer at several posts in Korea and Germany, and in Saudi Arabia and Turkey during the Gulf War. He also trained at or served in Arizona and several Southern posts. He retired from the Army in 1996, and in October 2014 as a Department of the Army civilian.
