Jaron S. Wharton is an Infantry officer with the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, in Afghanistan. He has served several tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He visited Detroit as a White House Fellow and also was a Harvard Strategist.
