Deputy Director of Operations, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Air Mobility Command

Colonel John D. Lamontagne is Deputy Director of Operations, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration for Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. As deputy director, he is responsible for policy and procedures for worldwide air operations and transportation functions assigned to the command. These include airfield operations; Civil Reserve Air Fleet; command and control; combat, nuclear, and current operations; operational requirements; aeromedical evacuation; training; and standardization programs.

Prior to assuming his current position, Colonel Lamontagne held command positions at the squadron, group and wing levels. He was also assigned to the Strategy Office within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

Colonel Lamontagne received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1992.
