Capt. Michael L. Hefti currently serves as a primary observer/coach trainer for the Cobra Team, which oversees cavalry squadrons rotating through the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif. He has commanded at the brigade, troop, squadron and platoon levels both in the continental U.S. and in Iraq and Afghanistan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and is obtaining a graduate degree in criminal justice from the American Military University.
