The role of warrant officers and the Army’s efforts to recruit and retain the best talent for that cohort will be the focus of a webinar hosted by the Association of the U.S. Army.

The event, part of the Thought Leaders series, begins at 2 p.m. Eastern July 8.

It is free, but registration is required here.

Warrant officers, who are experts in their field, are critical to successful operations, and their importance to the mission will increase as the Army transforms for the future. During the Thought Leaders event, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Yolondria Dixon-Carter, senior warrant officer adviser to the Army chief of staff, will open the discussion.

A panel of senior warrant officers from across the force will then talk about the Army’s efforts to find and keep the best talent in the warrant officer cohort across all three components.

Panelists include CW5 Richard Knowlton, senior warrant officer adviser for the Army Talent Management Task Force, and CW5 Patrick Nelligan, command chief warrant officer for Army Reserve Command.

Also speaking are CW5 Teresa Domeier, command chief warrant officer for the Army National Guard, and CW5 Jonathan Yerby, senior warrant officer adviser for Army Forces Command.

The discussion will be moderated by retired CW5 Phyllis Wilson, president of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation and member of the board of directors and senior fellow for AUSA.
