Leaders from the Army Talent Management Task Force will discuss ongoing efforts and programs to place the right soldiers in the right jobs at a webinar hosted by the Association of the U.S. Army.

The event, part of AUSA’s Thought Leaders webinar series, takes place at 2 p.m. Eastern on June 3.

It is free to attend, but registration is required here.

Talent management—including managing soldiers’ talents, skills and preferences to put them in the right jobs at the right time—is a top priority for senior leaders as the Army transforms for the future.

“When we take care of our people and treat each other with dignity and respect, we will have a much stronger and more committed Army,” Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville has said.

He also has emphasized the Army’s push to recruit and retain talented people. “We are in a war for talent, and we're going after the best and brightest, and we are going to do what it takes to keep them in the Army,” he has said.

The Thought Leaders event will feature four panelists. They are Brig. Gen. Thomas Drew, director of the Army Talent Management Task Force; Jay Goodwin, senior research scientist with the Army Research Institute for Behavioral and Social Sciences; and Col. Scott O’Neal and Lt. Col. Kris Saling, who are both assigned to the Army Talent Management Task Force.
