Michael C. Monteleone was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in August 2018. Mr. Monteleone is one of eight CFT directors supporting the Army Futures Command (AFC). In this capacity, he is responsible for synchronizing PNT efforts across the Army to build a resilient capability, enabling the Army to compete and operate globally in PNT-contested environments. Stationed at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, the APNT/Space CFT is actively developing PNT, Tactical Space, and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) requirements for the Army. He formerly serves as the Director of the Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD), under the U.S. Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. In this capacity, he was responsible for planning and executing the Army’s science and technology investments in resilient, survivable military communications, autonomous and intelligent networking, network situational understanding, cyber electromagnetic activities, and cyber defense.
