By Presley Price

Vice President, Communications

Association of the U.S. Army

Three Huntsville-based young professionals attended the recent AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition as part of the AUSA Young Professionals Forum. Presley Price, Annie Davis and Chase King were among 50 young professionals across the globe selected to participate in the three-day forum and attend the exposition.

Organized by AUSA’s Center for Leadership, the forum featured talks from Army leaders and civilian subject-matter experts and small-group discussions. Workshops focused on developing and understanding an individual’s unique leadership style based on the values and experiences that shaped them, the importance of long-range planning and how the decisions made each day create the future, and proactively building resiliency to better lead in times of struggle.

Presley, Annie and Chase also participated in the Inspiration to Lead exercise, a 5 a.m. walk around the National Mall. Watching the sunrise over the Washington Monument, they heard from key leaders stationed at each memorial and took away lessons in history and leadership that will leave a lasting impact.
