MG (Ret) Robert L. "Bob" Halverson, our immediate past Chapter President, was honored as the Patriotic of the Year by the Georgetown Rotary Club in Georgetown, Texas.

General Halverson was cited for his work in the community in support of servicemen and women as well as veterans and first responders. The Georgetown Rotary Club noted his efforts in supporting the USO at Ft Cavazos and the Veterans Treatment Court, Carry the Load, Our Community Salutes, The Veterans Circle at the Chamber of Commerce and the Field of Honor. It was also noted that he serves on the Georgetown Police Department Training Advisory Board.

This award is well deserved by a great American and exceptionally dedicated member of the AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter executive committee. General Halverson has served as our chapter liaison to the Rotary Club for several years and has been instrumental in supporting the Georgetown, Texas community. We are most appreciative of his hard work and leadership in our community.
