Texas Capital Area Chapter Immediate Past Chapter President, MG (Ret) Robert L. Halverson, traveled to Fort Huachuca, AZ to be the key note speaker at the US Army Military Intelligence Officer Career course.

MG (Ret) Halverson is a career military intelligence officer and the first National Guard officer to be selected for as a member of the US Army Military Intelligence Hall of Fame back in June 2006. He received this honor for his exceptional contributions to military intelligence during his distinguished career.

MG (Ret) Halverson was honored to deliver the graduation address to the Military Intelligence Officers Career Course. This graduating class consisted of forty-eight officers in the rank of Captains and First Lieutenant. This is a major milestone in the careers of these young officers and will place them in a position of greater responsibility and leadership in the military intelligence community.

Attending the award and graduation ceremony were twelve members of the military intelligence program staff and twenty family members of the graduating officers. Our chapter was again proud to support soldiers and their families during this ceremony and honored for the selection of a member of our executive committee leadership to present the graduation speech to the graduating class at Fort Huachuca.
