Round Rock, Texas

Chapter president, COL (R) Garry Patterson attended the Round Rock, Texas "Defense Industry Advisory Task Force" meeting. Our Texas Capital Area Chapter is a new member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and our chapter president has recently been appointed to service on their Defense Industry Advisory Task Force. VP for Young Professionals, Danielle Morrissey, also serves as the Director of Business Attraction & Strategic Initiatives of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.

This meeting was chaired by Brandon Cates, CEO at Ametrine, Inc. Items discussed during this important meeting are as follows: SXSW Recap, AUSA Partnership, FED SuperNova reception planning, marketing and recruitment efforts, and next steps planning opportunities.

COL (R) Patterson was able to discuss AUSA goals and upcoming activities and the importance of community partner membership. Danielle Morrissey highlighted her new position on the Texas Capital Area Chapter executive committee as the VP for Young Professionals. Danielle discussed future opportunities for joint sponsorship of young professional development events. Our chapter, along with the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce are planning such an event for August 2024.

The meeting was very successful and is an exceptional opportunity to share the AUSA story of service to soldiers and their families.
