AUSA chapter members, guests, and local area veterans are cordially invited to the Association of the United States Army, Texas Capital Area Chapter general membership meeting on 05 April 2023. 

Due to a scheduling conflict, Command Sergeant Major Brian A. Hester, the CSM for Army Futures Command in Austin, Texas will be unable to present.

LTG Richard "Ross" Coffman, Deputy Commanding General of Army Futures Command will be the guest speaker. He will provide an update on the operations and accomplishments of the Army Futures Command.

Biographical Sketch: LTG Richard "Ross" Coffman

LTG Ross Coffman serves as the Deputy Commanding General of Army Futures Command. In this role he assists the Commanding General with assessing and integrating the future operational environment, emerging threats, and technologies and with developing and delivering concepts, requirements and future force designs to posture the Army for the future.

LTG Coffman joined the Army in 1989 as an Armor officer and has supported and led Army efforts in Bosnia, Germany, Haiti, Iraq and the U.S. He most recently served as the Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver in the 1st Infantry Division with duty in Eastern Europe and the Director of the Next Generation Combat Vehicles Cross-Functional Team. His civilian education includes a bachelor’s degree from Centre College, an MBA from Embry Riddle University, and a Graduate Fellowship at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
