Scott Taylor

Scott Taylor is a proud Army “brat” having grown up all across the United States and around the world.  Upon graduation from the United States Military Academy in 1992, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army as an Armor officer.  Over his 30-year career, he served in a variety of operational units in the United States, Germany, Iraq and Korea.  He served three combat tours in Iraq, including a tour commanding 1-68 Armor battalion (CAB) in southern Iraq in 2010-2011.  He also commanded the U.S. Army Garrison at the Army’s National Training Center, at Fort Irwin, CA broadening his predominantly operational and training experience into installation management. His staff assignments include service at U.S. Forces Korea as the 2ID G3, 8A G3 and 8A Chief of Staff. He retired at the rank of Colonel from the Army in June 2022 as the Army’s Division Chief of Soldier, Maneuver, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence and Synthetic Training Environment (G8, FDD). 

Scott joined General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) in June 2022, as the Business Development Director for U.S. Operations, and is excited to apply his experience in uniform to help ensure warfighters in the Army continue to get innovative solutions to dominate the future battlefield. 

His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point, a Master of Military Arts and Science degree in International relations and National Security Studies from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and a Master of National Security Policy Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His military education includes the Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College.
