Shadow Glen Golf Course, Manor, Texas

The Texas Capital Area Chapter assisted the US Army Futures Command celebrate the US Army's 249th Birthday with a golf tournament held at the Shadow Glen Golf Course in Manor, TX.

The celebration began with a breakfast and comments from GEN James Rainey, Commanding General of Army Futures Command. The tournament was an opportunity to for members of Army Futures Command, civic leaders, leadership of our Texas Capital Area Chapter of AUSA and members of the Texas Army National Guard to enjoy a day of golf and fellowship to honor the United States Army.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the winning teams were presented certificates of accomplishment and 3D printed coins by GEN Rainey. A great time was had by all that attended the event and it set the stage for the formal United States Army birthday celebration to be held at AFC Headquarters on Friday, 14 June. This was an excellent opportunity to support our local community, the soldiers of the units in our area, and the numerous retired soldiers (Soldier for Life) in our community.
