Texas Capital Area Chapter hosted a general chapter meeting at Camp Mabry, the home of the Texas Army National Guard, in their headquarters building auditorium.
Our guest speaker was Mrs. Patty Morgan. Patty Morgan, an Army Military spouse with 25 years of dedicated service, currently serves as the Central Regional Manager at the Texas Veterans Network Combined Arms. With a focus on nonprofit veteran initiatives, she previously held the role of Southwest Regional Manager-Gold Star Families Programs at Tuesday's Children, where she excelled in building outreach, development, and volunteer engagement in Central Texas.
Patty's extensive background includes serving on Corporate Boards, including the Tuesday's Children Military Advisory Board, and four years as the Director of Family Programs at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) in Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, where she played a key role in establishing a memorial scholarship foundation. Her Defense sector experience involves working as a Senior Benefits Advisor for the Department of Veterans Affairs at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, for both Serco and Calibre Systems.
Patty's active-duty military spouse tenure involved serving as a Senior Advisor at the Army Family Readiness Program for various units at Fort Campbell, Fort Drum, the US Army War College, and Joint Base Lewis McChord. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Marymount University and has earned leadership certification from the United States Army War College, along with a Certified Nonprofit Professional certificate from Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
Mrs. Morgan provided an exceptional presentation to our chapter on veteran’s benefits and how to navigate the numerous online support organizations. Patty's organization, The Texas Veterans Network Combined Arms system assist veterans and their families in obtaining provide services and support to ensure a better quality of life.
The meeting was attended by active and National Guard soldiers as well as members from our chapter leaders executive committee and community partners.
