Chapter treasurer, COL (Ret) John Willis, made a presentation to the Vietnam American Veterans Association Chapter #915, Austin, Texas. COL Willis provided an information presentation about the Association of the United States Army and our Texas Capital Area Chapter.

This event was attended by local members of the newly formed Austin Chapter of the Vietnam American Veterans Association. COL Willis is a Vietnam veteran and new member of this chapter. COL Willis shared information to the group about AUSA membership and the benefits of joining our Texas Capital Area Austin Chapter. He provided information brochures which were well received.

Our chapter is looking forward to working with this veteran’s group in the future. This was truly a positive experience and "Soldier for Life" event. COL Willis' presentation also promoted our next chapter meeting at Army Futures Command on 23 August which will also include a celebration of the 6th Anniversary of Army Futures Command in Austin, TX.

COL Willis also met Jim Brennan, Legislative coordinator for the Texas Coalition of Veterans Organizations. It was my privilege to meet him last week at the Army Birthday celebration at Army Futures Command.
