Austin, TX

Our chapter co-sponsored an Army vs Navy Football Game Watch Party at the Fast Friends Beer Company in Austin, Texas. The event was well attended by soldiers from Army Futures Command to include the LTG Scott McKean, Director, Futures and Concepts Center and Deputy Commanding General, Army Futures. There were several cadets from the Senior ROTC program from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as the local recruiting company commander, CPT Derrick Wilson. Retired officers and former West Point cadets joined us at the watch party and celebration of the Army victory over Navy. Many family and friends of the Army and Navy also were in attendance.

We provided funds to support the pizza for this event. Our chapter also hosted a membership table to provide information about the benefits of membership in AUSA. We gained approximately a dozen new members during this drive.  This is the fifth year our chapter has co-sponsored this watch party. We plan to continue to join with the West Point Society of Central Texas to ensure outstanding future events.
