Our chapter recognized one of our community partners for their support and excellent service over the past ten years during the general membership meeting today. 

Chapter President, COL (Ret) Garry Patterson, introduced Mike Kozlowski, Assistant Director of The Comfort Crew for Military Kids. Mike provided a summary of recent family programs that they have provided to support soldiers and their families during deployment and redeployment activities. 

The Texas Capital Area chapter provided financial support to sponsor these "Yellow Ribbon" events conducted by the Comfort Crew for Military Kids in Central Texas over the past three months. This financial support allowed the Comfort Crew organization to provide deployment kits to more than 100 families. 

COL (Ret) Patterson also presented the Comfort Crew for Military Kids with an AUSA plaque to honor the exceptional non-profit organization's membership as a Community Partner of our chapter for ten years. 

Comfort Crew for Military Kids is the longest serving community partner of the Texas Capital Area Chapter. The Comfort Crew for Military Kids executive director, Angela Salyer, also serves as the Texas Capital Area Chapter VP for Family Programs. We are truly happy to recognize this outstanding organization and partner with them for the past ten years.
