AUSA chapter members, guests, and local area veterans are cordially invited to the Association of the United States Army, Texas Capital Area Chapter general membership meeting on 06 September 2023. Our speaker will be LTC (Ret) Brian Stevens, Deputy Construction and Facilities Management Officer (CFMO), Director Plans, Programs, and Innovation for the Texas Military Department. He will provide an update on the innovative 3D Printing construction projects of the Texas National Guard.
Biographical Sketch: LTC (Ret) Brian Stevens :LTC (Ret) Brian Stevens is the Deputy Construction and Facilities Management Officer and Director of Plans, Programs, and Innovation for the TXARNG. Brian is a retired TXARNG Officer and during his 25-year military career, he served in a variety of unique units and assignments including special operations, interagency coordination, strategic planning, and civil-military operations. He became involved in the energy field during a deployment to Iraq in 2005. As a civil affairs officer, he worked directly with coalition units and the Iraqi government to restore essential services including electricity generation, transmission, and distribution to influence the Iraqi populace and increase the capacity of the Iraqi government. He attended the NREL Energy Executives Program in 2010, in preparation for a deployment to Afghanistan. He is currently focused on increasing the readiness and resiliency of the TXARNG, through innovative energy, technology, and innovation programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Wayland Baptist University, and a Master of Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
