The meeting is scheduled for 1:00PM. After the meeting you are invited to move to the 2nd Floor Multi-purpose Room to celebrate the Sixth Anniversary of the US Army Futures Command. Parking is available in a parking garage next to the University of Texas System building with a garage entrance located on Lavaca Street.
Major General Edmond “Miles” Brown is responsible for facilitating timely and effective decision making, problem solving, information integration and communication across the Army Futures Command. General Brown is a native of Honea Path, South Carolina, and commissioned into the Army as a Field Artillery officer upon graduation from The Citadel. General Brown has served in command and leadership positions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Kuwait, and the U.S., most recently serving as commanding general of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM). He holds advanced degrees in history, administration and national security strategy from Central Michigan University and National Defense University. His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), the Bronze Star (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Iraqi and Afghanistan Campaign Medals, the Combat Action Badge, and the Presidential Service Badge.
