Family Readiness Groups Get New Name, Focus
The Army is changing the name of its Family Readiness Groups in an effort to better connect soldier readiness to the military family, according to a recently published Army directive.
The groups are now called Soldier and Family Readiness Groups, and they remain a unit commander’s program for soldiers, Army civilians, immediate and extended family members and volunteers. The goal is to ensure the groups are inclusive of all personnel, including single soldiers and their families.
