Legacy of Military Support
Magellan Federal’s history of dedication to service members, veterans, and families stretches back to 1879 as a nonprofit organization to care for surviving spouses of the fallen. In 2000, Armed Forces Services Corporation was spun off to expand services to include warriors, veterans, and families.
In 2016, AFSC joined Magellan Health, rebranding as Magellan Federal. With the acquisition of Magellan Health in 2022 by Centene Corporation, Magellan Federal is now a part of a Fortune 25 company, bringing the latest solutions in health and wellness to government agencies.
Staying true to their roots, they collaborate frequently with nonprofit organizations in the military community — like AUSA — and make it a priority to actively employ veterans and their spouses. Magellan Federal remains as dedicated as ever to the health and unique needs of the federal community.
