LVT
LVT
LiveView Technologies (LVT) is the premier provider of mobile surveillance technology. Founded in 2005, LVT provides on-demand, rapidly deployed surveillance to the largest companies in the world. What started as a bootstrapped company with a single unit in the CEO’s garage, has now grown to more than 400 employees and thousands of units across the country.
Today, LVT is used by security professionals in public services, retail, transportation, critical infrastructure, property management, and other industries. LVT® Units are proven to lower crime and increase safety through our hardware and cloud-based software to show what is happening at any time, from any web-enabled device. LVT systems proactively protect infrastructure, assets, and personnel with automated deterrence methods.
Our Work with the Army
Liveview Technologies (LVT) is proud to support US Ignite and the U.S. Army to help ensure the safety of Fort Mooreʼs (FMGA) active-duty military, family members, reserve component soldiers, retirees, and civilian employees, as well as secure vital assets and equipment.
LVT worked closely with the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) at FMGA and US Ignite to successfully deliver and operationalize D3 Mobile Security Units that meet the departmentʼs operational needs.
LVT augmented existing security services at FMGA in the following ways:
- Served as a Force Multiplier delivering augmented security to DES to allow wider force coverage with limited resources
- Provided security and surveillance of FMGA hosted events (FBGA name change, Oktoberfest, Ranger Open House, and Independence Day Celebration)
- Successfully supported the opening of a new Egress Gate providing useful tracking and monitoring data to improve flow and customer experience
- Assisted in the apprehension of a suspect, providing real-time monitoring in the search of the individual and vehicle in question
In conjunction with Columbia State University (CSU), LVT was tasked with developing and integrating a civilian detection analytic and supplementary coprocessor into the LVT platform allowing DES to remotely differentiate between civilians and soldiers. LVT not only met minimum requirements for a civilian detection analytic feature, but also delivered bounding boxes, the ability to detect multiple civilians and soldiers in a single frame, and the ability to support running the analytic on multiple cameras in the future.
Because of the LVT Units on FMGA’s perimeter, a major incident was captured on video in August, and a high-traffic event in September was handled successfully with minor adjustments to live streaming. One deployed LVT Unit successfully helped moderate traffic of over 1,000 vehicles in a four-month period.
Feedback from users and stakeholders emphasizes that the LVT platform not only contributes to maintaining a secure environment but also streamlines the efforts of Emergency Services in their surveillance initiatives at FMGA.
Our Capabilities
LVT Units use multiple NDAA compliant cameras along with a loudspeaker, strobe lights, and floodlights to deter intruders. LVT’s proprietary video management software automatically connects with the units and uses active, event-driven alerts to control the unit’s response — whether that is to turn on the floodlights, play an audible warning, or alert end users. Each LVT Unit is self contained, requiring no external power or communication hookups. Instead, they run on a combination of solar power, batteries, and optional smart generators and communicate through LVT’s cellular network. The most commonly used model is the D3 Unit.
Additional attributes that make our LVT Units unique:
- Rapidly deployable and relocatable
- AI event-driven alerts
- Platform-as-a-service (PaaS)
- Low metered data consumptions
- Low power consumption
- Turnkey
- IoT orchestration and edge computing
- Automated behavior and data gathering
- Cloud-based VMS
- Proactive deterrence methods
- Real-time system health monitoring and self-healing
LVT is one of Utah’s fastest growing companies and is seeing a continuous upward trajectory. In 2023, employee headcount grew from 377 to 548 professionals and counting—a 45% increase.
They’ve seen an annual growth rate of 120% and customer retention rate of 160% year-over-year. Since their beginning in 2005, LVT has deployed thousands of units nationwide.
