JROTC/ROTC and Future Service Members Luncheon Doubles Turnout from 2023 Event
On the final day of the 2024 Global Force Symposium & Exposition, our chapter hosted more than 500 cadets for the JROTC/ROTC and Future Service Members Luncheon, nearly doubling event participation from the prior year’s event.
Demonstrating the close relationship with local JROTC and ROTC programs, the chapter invited all programs across North Alabama regardless of branch of service. Cadets from 15 high schools and two universities attended the panel and luncheon and had the opportunity to tour the exhibit halls where the defense industry’s most modern systems and equipment were on display.
This year’s panel discussion followed the theme “Our Journey…Your Opportunities.” Four panel members from the community provided a brief history of their life’s journey and how they managed decisions and situations that resulted in a successful career. To finish the program, the cadets enjoyed a luncheon with featured speaker LTG Chris Mohan who spoke to this audience about the opportunities available to the future leaders of our country. LTG Mohan also took the opportunity to present Cadet Jaden Johnson, Lee/New Century High School Army JROTC, with the Legion of Valor with Bronze Cross award for achievement; one of the most prestigious awards in JROTC. Both USAREC and USACC had members of their command available to discuss career and education opportunities available within the Army.
This event would not have been possible without the support of all the corporate sponsors—Thank you for your investment in the future of our country.
