The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) is a member of the U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) Globally Integrated Joint Missile Defense Team. SMDCís role as the Armyís component to STRATCOM and also the Army proponent for Space and Ballistic Missile Defense enables the Command to interact with the joint team at all levels of command and staff.
