Shawn Walsh is a research engineer in the Office of the Director, U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Previously, he was with the then-U.S. Army Materials and Mechanics Research Center. He co-authored and edited the book Robotic Systems and Autonomous Platforms: Advances in Materials and Manufacturing. He received his doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. and flexible.
