Biography

Colonel Robert M. Toguchi is currently serving as Director, Strategic Plans, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. Prior to that assignment, he served first as a Professor of Military Strategy and then as Core Course Director (Nature of War) at the National War College. In earlier assignments he served as a strategic analyst in the Army Staffís Strategy, Plans and Policy Division; War Plans Officer, War Plans Division, Army Staff; and Strategic Planner, 24th Infantry Division; and in other command, staff and academic positions. A 1980 graduate of the United States Military Academy, he later earned a masterís degree and a doctorate in history from Duke University.
