Major General Paul C. Hurley, Jr. was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at Texas A&M University in July 1986.

MG Hurley’s civilian education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University, and Master’s degrees in both Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Air Force Air University. His military education includes: Transportation Officer Basic and Advance Courses, United States Army Command and General Staff College, and United States Air Force War College.

MG Hurley’s command experience includes: Platoon Leader, 34th Transportation Company, 372nd Transportation Company and 29th Transportation Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Company Commander, 96th Transportation Company (HET), 180th Transportation Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas; Battalion Commander, 47th Forward Support Battalion, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Baghdad, Iraq; Brigade Commander, National Training Center Support Brigade, Fort Irwin, California; Commanding General, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, 8th United States Army, Camp Henry, South Korea; Commanding General, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Commanding General, United States Combined Arms Support Command and Sustainment Center of Excellence, Fort Lee, Virginia.
