Maj. Joseph Payton is a public affairs officer serving as the strategic communications team lead for the Army Talent Management Task Force, the Pentagon. He previously commanded the 7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Fort Hood, Texas. He holds a master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in management and leadership from Liberty University, Virginia.
