Major John Thomas Pelham IV is currently a student in the School of Advanced Military Studies at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He completed his Master of Military Art and Science degree in June 2021. In the July 2021 Cavalry and Army Journal, he published an article on force management regarding capability gaps in the existing security force assistance brigades (SFABs) force structure and the need to incorporate armor crewmen as advisors. Major Pelham is currently researching possible SFAB roles within multi-domain task forces for a monograph on advanced military studies programs. He holds an MS in Organizational Leadership from Columbus State University and a BA in History from Tennessee Technological University.
