LTG Karen E. Dyson, USA, Ret.
Karen Dyson, Lieutenant General, U.S. Army, Retired, culminated her military career as Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller, responsible for the full range of financial management functions supporting the United States Army, a $300 billion enterprise averaging $150 billion in annual global operations. She commanded at all levels through Brigade where she led soldiers in the European and deployed theaters in cash, accountability and payment operations. Staff positions include support to the Commander-in-Chief as the Chief of Staff and Comptroller, White House Military Office.
Today, LTG (Ret) Dyson is an independent board director on the Board of USAA Federal Savings Bank and CALIBRE. She is also a member of the Board of Managers for the Army Emergency Relief (AER) Organization.
LTG (Ret) Dyson is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Missouri State University, where she attended on a three year ROTC scholarship. She has two masters degrees: Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, and an MBA from Austin Peay State University. Her awards include Lifetime Achievement Awards from Missouri State University Alumni Association and the U.S. Army Finance Corps Association. She is most proud of her Meritorious Unit Commendations reflecting outstanding team performance in units within which she served.
