Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite became 54th chief of engineers and commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in May 2016. Previously, he established the Army Talent Management Task Force and served as its first director. Before that, he was commanding general of Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan. Maj. Gen. (P) Scott Spellmon has been named as his successor.
