Lt. Col. Joe Doty, USA Ret., is the executive director of the Feagin Leadership Program at Duke University, N.C., and previously served as deputy director for the then-Center for the Army Professional Ethic. He has commanded at the battalion level. He has a doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado.
