Lieutenant General (Retired) Lee Quintas
Leopoldo “Lee” Quintas served over 35 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Lieutenant General in 2021. During his military career, Lee commanded at every level from tank commander to division command. His recent assignments included duties as the 48th Chief of Armor and Cavalry at Fort Moore, Georgia, Commanding General of the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, and Deputy Commanding General of US Army Forces Command at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Lee is a decorated combat veteran with tours in Germany (Cold War), Iraq (Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom), and Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel).
Like many officers, Lee benefitted from a broad array of professionally enhancing staff and special assignments. These include duties as the Director of Army Concept Development and Learning at the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, Chief of the Dominant Maneuver Division – Army Staff (G-8), Executive Officer to the Commanding General of the Army Accessions Command, Aide-de-Camp to the 34th Chief of Staff of the Army and Instructor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States
Military Academy.
Today, Lee continues to support the Army as a Highly Qualified Expert, providing mentorship, coaching and training to general officers and their staffs. As an NACD certified Board Director, he serves on multiple boards. Lee also advises corporate and non-profit leaders on strategy, leadership and decision-making.
In addition to his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy, Lee holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a master’s degree in military arts and science from the Army Command and General Staff College, and a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College.
Lee is the son of a Philippine-born, U.S. Coast Guard Vietnam War veteran. He and his wife, Lori reside in Holden Beach, North Carolina where he enjoys running, functional fitness and looking for golf balls.
