Command Sgt. Maj. David S. Davenport Sr. assumed duties as command sergeant major of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command in 2015 after serving as command sergeant major of U.S. Army Europe. He has held a variety of leadership positions in armor and cavalry organizations and commands. He was awarded the Association of the U.S. Army SGM Larry Strickland Educational Leadership Award in 2006.
