Col. Stanley A. Murrell, USA Ret., a former enlisted soldier, was commissioned in the Field Artillery in 1966. A 1991 graduate of the U.S. Army War College, he served in assignments at Fort Sill, Okla.; Fort Bliss, Texas; Korea; and twice in Europe.
