Biography

Colonel Chaveso “Chevy” Cook is a Psychological Operations officer currently serving as a Division Chief on the Joint Staff, Deputy Directorate for Global Operations (J39). He previously commanded a battalion at Fort Meade, Maryland, was the speechwriter for the Secretary of the Army, and was both an instructor and a tactical officer at West Point.

He is also a second-time LTG (Ret) James M. Dubik Writing Fellow after participating in its initial cohort. His education includes a BS from West Point, an MA from the University of Texas-El Paso, an MA from Columbia University and a PhD from Tufts University.
